Centre Assistant

SEND Swimming Support. 

Theo has volunteered as an SEND pool helper for the past three years, supporting inclusive and engaging swimming sessions. He joined the team through the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, and chose to continue because he values giving back to the community.

Theo has created great a great connection with the children in the SEND class and enjoys interacting with them. He said: “I love the sessions with the SEND group. They’re fun, you learn a lot and you make bonds along the way.”

He has since progressed to the role of Centre Assistant, while also assisting with Bridport Swim School. Alongside his roles, Theo is studying for his A levels and working towards his ambition of becoming a PE teacher.
