As a swim coach, you’ll deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons. Whether working one-to-one or with groups, and across all ages and abilities, you’ll help people build real confidence and skill in the water.

A range of hours are available for Level 1 and Level 2 coaches across a mix of daytime school lessons, mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

  • Multi-stroke and multi-skills approach, following the Swim England framework
  • Confident, competent swimmer, able to teach in the water alongside pupils when required
  • Ability to teach across a range of groups, including pre-school ‘ducklings’ lessons, school swimming, and swimmers with SEN or additional needs (training and support provided — relevant experience is desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to monitor and record swimmers’ progress using CoursePro
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to work closely with customers, pupils, and parents/carers

Qualifications required:

  • Level 1: current Swim England (or equivalent) Level 1 Teaching Certificate
  • Level 2: current Swim England (or equivalent) Level 2 Teaching Certificate
  • Current safeguarding training (or willingness to complete on appointment)

In return, we offer a range of benefits:

  • Competitive rates of pay
  • Uniform provided
  • Free membership for our facilities* (where 4 hours or more are worked per month)
  • Free parking
  • Pension scheme
